About the podcast

Faces of Digital Health is a podcast founded in 2017, that explores the diversity of healthcare systems and healthcare innovation worldwide. Specially curated discussions with carefully selected speakers challenge overtly hyped assumptions about the modern state of healthcare innovation.

The podcast is named among the Fifty of the Most Impactful Tech Innovators in Digital Healthcare in 2021by Medika. It’s among the top healthcare and medicine podcasts on Goodpods, mentioned by companies such as Hyro.

Frequent discussions with policymakers, doctors, nurses, and opinion leaders in the digital health space will shed light on the foundations of different healthcare systems and showcase how different cultures approach the digitization of healthcare. The podcast’s primary goal is to share the insight required to facilitate the necessary discussion that will start improving healthcare on a global scale.

About the host

Tjaša Zajc (Tyasha Zayc) is an internationally recognized digital health moderator, and speaker focused on global healthcare digitalization. She is a former healthcare journalist and a patient advocate.

Brainlab put her on the list of 9 Digital Health Experts to Follow on LinkedIn in 2021, she is also on the list of 30 Healthcare IT Influencers Worth a Follow in 2021 according to Health Tech.

She collaborates with HIMSS, moderated the European Patient Forum Congress in 2021, and worked as a moderator of several panel discussions at The Economist Impact Cancer Series event in November 2021. She is also an ambassador of FTR4H Global Hub for Digital Health, an active member of the Slovenian digital health community Healthday.si. In the past she was a mentor in Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin and a contributor to MedTech Engine, among other things.

After years of experience in healthcare journalism and event management, she started exploring the effects of IT adoption in the digital health industry through business development and communications management in healthcare IT. She works as a business developer at Better, specializing in hospital electronic prescribing and medication management.

She has a Master’s degree in healthcare management and economics from the University of Ljubljana.

Her personal explorations of human diversity include a short-term volunteer work in Uganda and Turkey and a several month long hike of the Continental Divide Trail section between Colorado and Canada, and attending Burning man festival.
